Many Miles 2 Home Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization dedicated to saving and rehoming dogs that are close to losing their life in a shelter or will be abandoned by their owner. We focus on Bully breeds, and pregnant dogs because they are 3rd on a shelter's kill list. Many Miles 2 Home houses anywhere from 20-55 dogs/puppies while searching for their adoptive homes. At times we house over 4 litters and do our best to help any moms we can. We strongly believe in spaying/neutering animals and it is completed before adoption. While animals spend their time at our rescue, we strive to bring back the animals’ faith in humans by showering them with love and making sure each dog is able to run twice a day. Many dogs need a bit of rehabilitation depending on their past experiences. Additionally, while working with the animals we practice leash walking and minimal barking to improve their adoption into their forever family. We also provide support to our growing community of alumni and help our adopters with up-to-date vaccines if needed. Our community binds together to help rehome animals we are unable to take due to capacity max and help people work through challenging situations with their animals. We also donate some of our dog food to the love project to help homeless people feed their dogs.
Please reach us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
First and foremost make sure you are completing the application including sending pictures of your ID and yard. We will best contact you by email so please check that for updates.
All our dogs have adopt me under them. Once you click that it will take you directly to our application.
The best thing is to contact us to see if we can take in any more dogs but we are a kennel based rescue. When all of our kennels are occupied we cannot take in intakes. We have a many miles courtesy post page on Facebook you can network your dog on as long as it does not have a human bite history.
Absolutely, we always love extra hands either to help us maintain our facility for the best experience for our dogs or just to give love to them. The best way to contact us would be on messenger, as it gets out of control with phone calls that we are unable to remember each conversation.
Please understand that there is only two individual workers that run many miles. We get hundreds if not thousands of messages, emails, and phone calls a day. We cannot and will not remember every person that has contacted us. If you see a dog posted that you are interested in, it’s best to contact us again about it.
